Bully Pager Alarm Lock - Suzuki SV650 Forum: SV650, SV1000, Gladius Forums

Hey guys, I bought the Bully Pager Alarm Lock because I didn't want to buy and install a security system, as well as a lock of some kind, so this was perfect because it does both! The price is a little high (I paid $120 with shipping) but I think it was worth it overall, the alarm is sensitive, and the pager works great.

The lock itself feels very sturdy and well built, but I can't really say the same for the little pager, it doesn't creek or anything if I squeeze hard on the corners, but it just doesn't feel or look like its something that cost $120 - 160, at the same time it hasn't broken or anything, so I can't be too harsh on it. As for measurements, the U-lock is about 9.5" long and 8.25" wide. The pager is 3" long (with antenna), 1.5" wide (inside protector), and 0.75" thick (inside protector).

Overall I'm quite happy, this provides a visual and auditory deterrent, as well as a pager function good for 1/2 mile (best case scenario)

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Here are some pics I took:

EDIT: I thought I should clarify a few things like how the lock actually works lol

Assuming that you start with it locked, you insert the key and turn it 180 degrees clockwise, you will then hear 1 beep, this means that the alarm is now armed, you would proceed by taking out the shank, placing it around your rim and tire and back into the base, finish off by turning the key 180 degrees counter clockwise to the original position and take the key out. You would then take the pager and push the "on/off" button, and you will hear a single beep, followed by flashing LEDs every 3 seconds to remind you that the pager is armed. Any jolt or pull on the lock will initiate a loud and annoying alarm, and almost immediately the pager would either vibrate or produce an annoying pitch.
You then have 2 options:
1) run like hell to your bike and beat the crap out of who's trying to steal it, or
2) You notice that a cat was playing with the lock, in which case you can press and hold the "reset" button for about 3 seconds, causing the alarm on the lock and the pager to reset.

To take the lock off you would turn off the pager by simply pressing the "on/off" button, then you would insert the key into the lock and turn it 180 degrees clockwise, where you will hear 2 beeps this time, indicating the lock is disarmed. In this instance you might trigger the alarm by moving it around trying to get the key in, and I haven't had enough time to see if there is a way to turn off the lock alarm from the pager, but it took 1 second to take the shank off, which turns the alarm off. You would then place the shank back into the base and turn the key back 180 degrees counter clockwise to it's original position.

That's all folks! Again if you have any specific questions please let me know, I'd be happy to answer them to ya! =D
